The Celtic shield design brooch pin has an approximate diameter of one and a half inches. This type of brooch pin was traditionally used as a plaid pin by Scots to attach one corner of their kilt end to the kilt material on one shoulder.
It is rather rare, in very good condition and highly collectable.
