Brave Collectables was established in 2016. 

We sell high quality vintage, antique and selected contemporary watches.  These have included  high end brands such as ROLEX, OMEGA, BULOVA, CARTIER, LONGINES and TAG HEUER, amongst others. 

We also sell a selection of fine jewellery, original art and art prints and some general collectables, all within the U.K. only. 

Our art is offered for sale at the GARRION  BRIDGES  GARDEN  AND  ANTIQUE  CENTRE, Scotland’s largest antique centre which is located in the Clyde Valley, a major tourist destination close to Glasgow.

    A  WORLD  OF  COLLECTABLES

“What is a collectable?” you might ask. The Collins dictionary definition states that, “a collectable object is one which is valued very highly by collectors because it is rare or beautiful”.  However, other dictionary definitions simply refer to a collectable as being  anything that has value and can be collected.  This is a more modern and egalitarian approach to the world of collecting and one which we personally are drawn to, although we are also great admirers of the rare and the beautiful.

In terms of value, the modern understanding of collectables is that they can be just about anything that you, the individual collector, thinks is worthy of collecting.  For instance, anything from vintage comics to antique gold brooches to old bottle tops, if they happen to take your fancy.  In other words, collectables can be expensive in monetary terms but they don’t have to be.

Many people enjoy hobbies which are focused on collecting items that they have a passion for amassing for various reasons – sometimes purely emotive. Here at Brave Collectables, we subscribe to the notion that it is up to the individual to decide what they deem is worthy of collecting.

We ourselves admire the craftmanship and pride, the passion and sincere attention to fine detail found in many older, quality items that is often lacking in today’s mass produced products. Vintage and antique watches that  have successfully stood the test of history and are still in good condition, for example, exude an aura of quiet sophistication and cool style. They are now also acknowledged as not only being capable of retaining their monetary value in a way that many modern watches simply do not but as being potentially worthy investment vehicles in themselves.

The fascinating link between when a vintage or antique piece was created and what was happening in the world around it at the time, is explored when possible in its description.

In terms of art, we offer a selected range of mainly contemporary visual art as well as some older art works.
